The site was designed and developed as a bespoke PHP build with a strong visual direction centred around KRD's commercial positioning. Rather than using a generic trades layout, the website uses bold typography, large project imagery, horizontal service showcases, structured content sections and strong calls to action to give the business a more established and capable online presence.
A major part of the project was organising KRD's broad service offering into a clearer customer journey. Twelve core services were structured across retail, commercial, residential and property development work, including shop fit-outs, retail strip-outs, bar fit-outs, commercial fit-outs, renovations, conversions, property development, extensions, refurbishments, kitchens, bathrooms and tiling.
The website also separates commercial and residential journeys so visitors can quickly understand which areas of the business are relevant to their project. Commercial fit-outs, strip-outs and refurbishment work are positioned prominently, while domestic renovation services remain easy to discover throughout the site.
KRD's real project experience was made a key part of the design. Completed work is showcased visually throughout the website, helping potential customers see the type of spaces the business has worked on and strengthening trust in the quality of the finished work.
The About section was developed to communicate the company's experience more effectively, including its retail fit-out background, joinery-led delivery, trade coordination and experience working on projects involving major high-street brands. This gives prospective commercial clients much more context around the business than a standard trades website would provide.
SEO was built into the structure from the beginning. Dedicated service pages create focused landing pages for individual search intent, while location content targets Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Leeds, Wakefield, York, Manchester and other relevant locations. The wider site messaging also makes it clear that KRD can undertake suitable commercial and larger projects throughout the UK.
The enquiry journey was designed around project-based leads rather than simple product or booking transactions. Calls to action encourage visitors to explain what they are planning, where the project is based and what they need delivered, giving KRD a clearer starting point for qualified enquiries.
The result is a distinctive, scalable website that positions KRD more strongly for retail and commercial work while still supporting its established domestic renovation services, local SEO growth and wider UK project ambitions.
